Dog Days Press was conceived during the 'dog days' of August, 2006. However, the name shares a secondary significance with a light-hearted nod to the phrase 'every dog has his day'... a phrase with varying interpretations. We share a mission of providing additional resources to the writing community at large. We are in the midst of exciting times in this age of information. Traditional publishers are inundated with manuscripts and getting published can be a daunting experience. There is also the self-publishing phenomenon that has taken on a life of its own. Dog Days Press is committed to providing an additional bridge between the established writing community and the neophyte authors among us. To launch this effort, we are introducing hoi polloi, a literary journal for the rest of us...
